Official Launch

After some serious testing last month we now finally think Linkorado.com is stable enough to present it to the public. We have had the time to fix some minor issues, correct typos and test some new features. From now on Linkorado.com is your Link Partner Meeting Point.

We would like to thank all of our test users that made this possible. We really appreciated the feedback, complaints, compliments, bug reports, questions and remarks we got. Now we have upgraded from testing to production, we still would like to hear all your feedback. Use the contact-us-link somewhere on this page.

This might also be a good moment to answer some frequently asked questions:

Can I add more sites?
Yes, add as many sites as you want. Currently there is no limit.
Will you publish my name or e-mail address?
No. Only your url, title and descriptions will be displayed.
Can you add a category named XYZ?
Yes, but only if we think more than 1 site will be listed in that category. Send us an e-mail with your suggestion.
I can't find category XYZ?
Take a look at our sitemap. All directories and subdirectories are listed there. Use CTRL+F to search.
Why must I select the page I put a link on?
That is so our software can monitor the link exchange. As soon as one of the links is removed, both parties will be notified.
I can't use the top navigation items anymore, your balloons and decorations are in the way?
True. Enjoy while it lasts!

A lot of fixes and updates

Thanks to all who have reported bugs and sent in suggestions to improve Linkorado over the last couple of weeks. We really appreciate the feedback we are getting from our users.

Based on the most common issues we have updated some parts of the site and just released a new version on Linkorado.com.

Added a 'new sites' page.
Added the a Pagerank bar for the sites in our directory. This is only visible when you are logged in
Fixed the 'get links' page where you select the page(s) you put links on. As this is probably the most significant step in a link exchange let us know if you still have problems with selecting your link page(s).
Periodic link verification. Every month the link exchange will be verified by Linkorado.com and if one of the links is missing both parties will be informed.
Moved some categories around, deleted some, added a few.
Minor HTML layout issues fixed. Linkorado now looks the same in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome.

More minor issues will be fixed next week. If you encounter any strange behaviour, a real bug or just a small typo we like to here from you.

Search engine added

We have added a search box on the homepage and a link to the new search page in the menu on the left. Now you can search sites listed on Linkorado by keyword.

Linkorado Beta Test

Linkorado.com is a brand new link exchange meeting point where you can search for websites with more or less the same topic as your websites and request link exchanges. Even if you are not that interested in link exchanges, just placing your site in the Linkorado.com directory is a very effective way to promote your site.

Final stage of testing
We built the site from scratch, tested it, tested it again and are ready to launch the site at October 1st, 2010. We have invited a selection of users from our sister sites to be the firsts to give it a test drive before the official launch
